Master theses conditions
Internship in academic lab or company
ABSOLUTELY necessary to have a contact in the native country with one professor (or industrial). If possible (not obligatory) close to the field of the topic chosen for the internship. This second supervisor will "only" follow your work from distance and read your report. The goal is to force the people of your home country to follow your work . It should help to prepare your professionnal insertion. This co-spervisor can be the referee who supported you to enter the Master. The experiments will be performed in Europe (and other country than the native country for Europeans).
choice of academic lab
The lab must be an academic lab of one of the SERP Chem partner institution (Orsay, Cachan, Versaille, Evry, Poznan, Porto, Genova). The experiments will be performed in Europe. For European students, most of the experiments should be performed out of your home country.
choice of a company
You are encouraged to perform your internship in an industrial lab. It can be a partner of the consortium, but not necessary. For Europeans, in this case, it can be a company of your native country.
Procedure
Fill the form (convention de stage, available on the intranet) and submit it to the local coordinator.
Evaluation
You will have to write a report : 30 pages all included, in English (with English and French abstracts). You will present your work in front of a jury (15mn presentation + 5 min questions) at the end of June. A paper copy of the report will have to be sent to a referee (determined by S. Lacombe) and to S. Lacombe, 2 weeks before the oral presentation.
