Techniques for characterization of interfaces
Content
This course is devoted to the following techniques: Surface tension, Contact angle and Zeta- potential measurements, AFM, STM, Quartz crystal microbalance, Electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance, vibrational spectroscopy of surfaces (ATR, PM-IRRAS), SEM and Electrochemical impedance.
Aims
The aim of this course is to develop the student knowledge of interfacial characterization techniques. This includes both the understanding of fundamental aspects of those techniques and the information that can be gathered by those techniques. Furthermore the most relevant experimental parameters and data analysis will be addressed during this course.
